Anfang 2017 begab es sich, dass Markus (modellbaubert) die Worte aussprach:
"Wir brauchen einen DeLorean!".
Das wussten wir beide zwar schon lange, aber vorher wäre es niemals möglich gewesen. Durch einige Geschehnisse änderten sich Situationen und Gedanken. Dadurch kamen wir zu dem Entschluss, es jetzt zu wagen.
Weshalb länger warten? Wir werden alle nicht jünger und könnten jetzt schon so viel Freude mit dem schönen Wagen haben. Falls es doch mal nicht mehr anders gehen sollte, könnte man ihn immernoch vermutlich ohne Verlust verkaufen.
Aber so weit wird es hoffentlich nie kommen.
So machten wir uns Anfang 2017 auf die Suche nach dem einen, der zu uns gehören und mit uns Abenteuer erleben sollte. :)
Wir suchten sowohl in Deutschland, als auch in den umliegenden Ländern (England, Frankreich, Holland, ..) sowie in den USA.
In Europa hatten wir sogar damit geliebäugelt, ihn persönlich abzuholen.
Oftmals war uns bei den DeLoreans in Europa sehr mulmig bei den Gesprächen zumute und wir sind uns sicher, auch mindestens an einen Trickbetrüger geraten zu sein.. :/ Mit gemischten
Gefühlen suchten wir also weiter.
Die Händler in den USA schienen ehrlicher zu sein was den Zustand ihrer Autos angeht. Und eines Tages fanden wir den DeLorean, der auf den Fotos abgebildet ist.
Er gehört einem Lee aus San Luis Obispo County, Kalifornien. Bei ihm fühlten wir uns sofort gut aufgehoben.
Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen beantwortete er all unsere Fragen zu den vielen Details.
Als wir nach Fotos vom Unterboden fragten, filmte er den Wagen auf einer Hebebühne von unten ab, sodass wir wirklich alles sehen konnten.
Ein sehr ehrlicher Mensch, der uns offen erzählte, welche kleinen Mängel der DeLorean aufweist und was er in den letzten Jahren daran gewerkelt hat.
DAS sollte unser DeLorean werden! :)

At the beginning of 2017, Markus (modellbaubert)
spoke the following words:
"We need a DeLorean!".
We both knew that for a long time, but it would never have been possible before.
Some new situations and thoughts changed latterly. This led us get to the decision to dare it
now.
Why wait longer? We
will not be any younger and could already have so much joy with the beautiful car. If it does not go otherwise, we could still sell it without
loss.
But hopefully this will never happen.
So in the beginning of 2017, we started
looking for the one who would belong to us and will experience adventures with us. :)
We searched in Germany and in the
surrounding countries (England, France, Holland, ..) as well as in the USA.
In Europe we were
thinking about picking it up by ourselfes.
Often, we felt very queasy at the DeLoreans in the discussions in Europe and we are sure to found at least minimum one trick cheater. :/ With mixed feelings we searched
further.
The dealers in the USA seemed to be more honest about the condition of their
cars. And one day we found the DeLorean, which is depicted in the photos.
He belongs to Lee from San Luis Obispo County, California. With him, we felt immediately at ease.
In contrast to many others, he answered all our questions about the many details.
When we asked him for pictures of the underfloor, he filmed the car on a lifting platform from below, so we could see everything.
A very honest person who told us openly what little flaws the DeLorean has and what he has worked on in recent years.
That should be our DeLorean! :)
Durch die Dortmunder Comic Con 2015 hatten wir Olli und seine DeLorean Zeitmaschine kennen gelernt. Er hat bereits einige Autos aus den USA importiert sowie viele DeLoreans zu Zeitmaschinen umgebaut. Wir sind ihm sehr dankbar, dass er sich die Zeit genommen hat, uns u.A. bei Fragen rund um den Import zu helfen.
So nahm das Ganze seinen Lauf.
modellbaubert überwies eine exorbitant große Summe nach Amerika und die Importfirma setzte sich mit Lee in Verbindung, um den DeLorean bei ihm abzuholen und auf ein Schiff zu bringen, das ihn über den Ozean zu uns bringen sollte. (Oder zumindest in die Nähe, um dann auf einem Hänger bis vor unsere Haustür gebracht zu werden. ;))
Lee packte uns netterweise noch ein paar Überbleibsel wie das Handbuch in den Kofferraum. Am 20. März 2017 wurde er bei ihm abgeholt und trat seine ca. 190 Meilen Reise zum Hafen bei Los Angeles an.

Through the Dortmund Comic Con 2015 we had met Olli and his DeLorean time machine. He has already imported some cars from the USA as well as many DeLoreans
converted to time machines. We are very grateful to him for taking the time to answer our questions and to help with importing.
So the whole took its course.
modellbaubert sent an tremendous large sum to America and the import company contacted Lee to pick up the DeLorean from him and bring him to a ship that will bring him across the ocean. And then
it will find his way to us on a car trailer.
Lee grabbed us nicely a few leftovers like the manual in the trunk. On 20 March 2017 the DeLorean was picked up at his house and started the 190 miles trip to the
port of Los Angeles.

Das Schiff wird jedoch vermutlich erstmal nach Süden fahren müssen, um durch den Panamakanal zu kommen.

The ship will presumably have to go southwards to get through the Panama Canal.
Das Container-Schiff "MSC Antalya" wurde am "Port of Long Beach" in Kalifornien mit einem Container beladen, in welchem sich unser DeLorean befindet. :)
Es hat den Hafen am 4. April 2017 um 04:05 Uhr verlassen und wird voraussichtlich am 6. April um 22 Uhr in Manzanillo (Mexiko) seinen nächsten Stop einlegen.
Auf www.marinetraffic.com kann man das Schiff verfolgen! :D
The container ship "MSC Antalya" was loaded with a container (inside is the DeLorean) at the "Port
of Long Beach" in California. :)
It has left the port on 4 April 2017 at 4:05 am and is scheduled to take its next stop at Manzanillo (Mexico) on 6 April at 10 pm.

Heute ist der 8. April und das Schiff befindet sich immernoch bei Mexiko - auf Kurs zum Panamakanal, seinem nächsten Ziel.
Vermutlich wird es ihn am 13. April 2017 erreichen.

Heute ist der 16. April 2017.
Das Schiff hat bereits am 14. April den kompletten Panamakanal passiert und ihn gegen 22:46 Uhr verlassen.
Ungefähr 1 Stunde später wurde es sehr viel langsamer und hat umgedreht.
Gegen 2:20 Uhr in der Nacht fuhr es zurück zum Panamakanal und hat gegen 4 Uhr morgens dort am "Port of Cristobal" angelegt.
Dort steht es immernoch. Wir haben jetzt 16 Uhr am 16. April.
Laut Terminplan hätte es am 14. April um 22:56 Uhr den "Port of Cristobal" verlassen sollen und am 24. April 2017 beim nächsten Stopp "Portugal Sines" anlegen müssen. Scheinbar verzögert sich dies nun.

Das Schiff ist wieder unterwegs!
Es überquert nun den Atlantik und soll am 25. April in Portugal ankommen.
Today is April 16, 2017.
The ship had already passed the complete Panamakanal on 14th April and left it at 10:46 pm.
Approximately one hour later, it became much slower and turned around.
Towards 2:20 in the night it went back to the Panamakanal and at 4 o'clock in the morning ship has berthing at the "Port of Cristobal".
There it still is. We have now 16 o'clock on 16 April.
According to the schedule, it should have left the "Port of Cristobal" on April 14 at 10:56 pm and had to invest "Portugal Sines" on April 24, 2017 at the
next stop. This seems to be delayed.

Ich musste jetzt wieder ein paar Berichte entfernen.. ;)
Kurzfassung:
Die MSC Antalya hat den Container mit dem DeLorean am 25. April in Portugal abgeladen und ist am 26. April weiter nach Italien gefahren.
Das wussten wir nicht, weshalb wir sehr entsetzt waren, dass das Schiff weiter nach Italien statt Frankreich fuhr.. xD
(Zwischendurch wurde uns gesagt, dass das Schiff "MSC Soraya" den Container mitbringen würde. Ich war sehr skeptisch und zweifelte, weil die beiden Schiffe keinen gemeinsamen Hafen angefahren
hatten. Das war sehr mysteriös!
Statt nach dem Schiff habe ich dann mal nach dem Container MSCU 793611-1 gegoogelt.. ;))
Letztendlich war der Container einfach nur lange in Portugal und wurde dann am 8. Mai von dem Schiff "DANCE" abgeholt.
Dieses hat am 11. Mai einen Zwischenstopp in Frankreich eingelegt und wird am 12. Mai den Hafen von Antwerpen erreichen.
Danach sollte es endlich zum Bremerhaven gehen. ;)

Short version:
The MSC Antalya has unloaded the container with the DeLorean on 25th April in Portugal and has continued to Italy on 26
April.
We didn't know why - so we were very horrified that the ship went on to Italy instead of France.. xD
(In the meantime, we were told that the ship "MSC Soraya" would bring the container with it. I was very skeptical and doubted because the two ships did not have a common port,
which was very mysterious!
Instead of the ship I searched for the Container MSCU 793611-1.. ;))
In the end, the container was just long in Portugal and was then picked up by the ship "DANCE" on 8 May.
On the 11th of May, it entered an intermediate stop in France, and on the 12th of May it will reache the port of Antwerp.
After that it will finally to go to Bremerhaven. ;)

Gestern hat modellbaubert nochmal bei der Speditionsfirma angerufen.
Der DeLorean wird voraussichtlich erst gegen 22.-24. Mai geliefert.. :(
Das ist wirklich dumm - denn wir haben für den 20. Mai eine "DeLorean Willkommens-Grillfeier" geplant, zu der viele tolle Menschen eingeladen sind, die sich
extra den Tag frei gehalten haben und die mitunter von sehr weit her kommen.
Daraufhin haben wir den Entschluss gefasst, ihn persönlich am 19. Mai abzuholen..

Yesterday modellbaubert called again the forwarding company.
The DeLorean will not be deliverd until 22-24. May.. :(
This is really stupid - because we have planned a "DeLorean welcome barbecue" for the 20th of May, to which a lot of great people are invited, which have
kept the day clear and a few of them have a long way.
So we decided to pick him up personally at 19th May.

Und wieder falsch gedacht..
Das Schiff DANCE hat den Container mit dem DeLorean unnötigerweise am
12. Mai in Antwerpen abgeladen.
Dort soll heute das Schiff SANDY RICKMERS den Container abholen und morgen im Bremerhaven abladen.
Ich verstehe nicht, wieso der DeLorean die kurze Strecke in Europa auf drei verschiedenen Schiffen zurück legen muss.. von L.A. bis nach Europa ging es so wahnsinnig schnell und hier wird nur getrödelt.. :(
Die Spedition hatte uns ja auch letzte Woche zugesagt, dass wir den DeLorean persönlich am 19. Mai abholen können, da uns deren Liefertermin zu spät ist.
Immerhin wollen wir keine DeLorean Willkommens-Grillfeier machen ohne dass der Ehrengast anwesend ist. :)
Aber durch die erneute Verzögerung wissen wir nun gar nicht, ob wir ihn überhaupt am 19. Mai abholen können.
Also von unserer Seite ist alles dafür in die Wege geleitet worden (Urlaub genommen und Transporter gemietet).
Wir hoffen SEHR, dass es klappt!

And thought wrong again ..
The ship DANCE unloaded the container with the DeLorean unnecessarily on
May 12 in Antwerp.
There the ship SANDY RICKMERS should pick up the container today and unload it tomorrow in Bremerhaven.
I do not understand why the DeLorean has to travel the short distance in Europe on three different ships .. from L.A. to Europe it was so incredibly fast and now it seems just like a waste of
time.. :(
The freight forwarder promised us last week that we would be able to collect the DeLorean personally on May 19, as the delivery date is too late for us.
After all, we don't want to host a DeLorean welcome barbecue without the VIP being present. :)
But due to the renewed delay, we don't know if we can pick it up on May 19th.
So everything on our side has been arranged for this (taking vacation and renting a van).
We very much hope it will work!

Und wieder ein Rückschlag.. :(
Die SANDY RICKMERS bleibt noch bis morgen in Antwerpen und bringt den DeLorean dann erst am 17. Mai.
Laut der Speditionsfirma kann er dann erst die Woche drauf verzollt werden und wir sollen nicht vor dem 29. Mai damit rechnen, dass er bei uns ankommt.. :(

Another setback.. :(
The SANDY RICKMERS will remain in Antwerp until tomorrow and will not bring the DeLorean until May 17th.
According to the shipping company, it can only be cleared for the next week and we should not expect it to arrive before May 29th. :(
Today (May 30, 2017) Markus (modellbaubert) was informed that the DeLorean will be loaded at the end of this week and will probably be brought on June 6 or 7.
On March 20, the DeLorean was picked up from the previous owner.
He should arrive at Bremerhaven on April 28-30.
I never expected it to take longer in Europe than from the USA to Europe.
We hope he got through everything well.
The announced 5 weeks became 10-11 weeks.
Thats a shame .. and actually there was (from our point of view) no reason for it .. :(
Am 6. Juni war es endlich soweit!!!
Der DeLorean ist angekommen! :D
Der Herr von der Speditionsfirma aus den USA hatte Markus (modellbaubert) am Nachmittag des 6. Juni angerufen, um sich zu erkundigen, ob alles gut gelaufen ist.
Nachdem er erfahren hat, dass wir noch gar keine richtige Rückmeldung haben, wann er denn nun geliefert wird, hat er sich darüber geärgert und hat sich sofort darum gekümmert, dass wir endlich mal angerufen werden, damit wir überhaupt wissen, was Sache ist.
Kurze Zeit später kam ein Anruf von der Speditionsfirma in Deutschland, dass der DeLorean zwar bereits in Fulda sei, vermutlich aber erst morgen geliefert wird.
Dafür sei es das erste Auto, das am nächsten Tag ausgeliefert wird. Da es etwas kurzfristig zum Urlaub nehmen war, teilte Markus (modellbaubert) ihnen mit, dass das nicht möglich ist und uns wurde die Alternative genannt - in 2 Stunden !!
Das war ganz schön plötzlich.. und wir haben sofort ein paar Freunden bescheid gesagt, die das freudige Ereignis miterleben wollten.
Nach nur 1 1/2 Stunden war es dann soweit - der wirklich riesige Lieferwagen war an der Hauptstraße und wir warteten dort bereits auf ihn. Er konnte nicht in die Straße bei modellbaubert einbiegen weil er viel zu groß war. Kurzerhand stieg modellbaubert zu ihm in die Fahrerkabine, um eine Lösung zu finden.
So musste umgedacht werden und nach einem Wendemanöver fuhr er in eine andere Straße, die nicht ganz in modellbauberts Nähe war, dafür aber viel ruhiger als die Hauptstraße.
Dort wurde der DeLorean von modellbaubert, shinzo, shinzos Vater, noeck, Louis und den gerade eintreffenden sanifox und Isa auf's herzlichste begrüßt! :)
Nach den Formalitäten wurde er abgeladen und wir haben ihn alle unter Augenschein genommen. <3
Leider haben wir dabei festgestellt, dass die drei Tupperdosen, die Lee uns in den Kofferraum gelegt hatte nicht da sind.. ;(
Anschließend musste er irgendwie zu modellbaubert kommen. Nach der langen Reise wollten wir natürlich nicht versuchen, den Motor zu starten. Eigentlich sollten auch alle Flüssigkeiten abgelassen
worden sein. Wir waren sehr verwundert, dass die Batterie noch ging und wir den Warnblinker aktivieren konnten.
shinzo setzte sich an's Lenkrad (modellbaubert hat ihn dafür als erstes angefasst xD). Die anderen schoben fleißig und sie lenkte das Auto nach Hause.
Unterwegs wurde noch unser Freund Andi angerufen, an dessen Haus wir vorbei rollten, ob er mit schieben helfen könnte.
Bei so einer Nachricht war er sofort gerne dabei! ;)
Zuhause angekommen bestaunten auch die Nachbarn den Traum aus Edelstahl.
Im Laufe des Abends bekam er noch Besuch von Bertrand, Stefan K. mit Anhang, Chris & Kristina und shinzos Schwester. :)
On June 6th the time had finally come!!!
The DeLorean has arrived! :D
The gentleman from the shipping company from the USA called Markus (modellbaubert) on the afternoon of June 6th to inquire whether everything went well.
After he found out that we still have no real feedback as to when he will be delivered, he was annoyed and immediately took care that we were finally called so that we even know what's going
on.
A short time later, a call came from the shipping company in Germany that the DeLorean was already in Fulda, but would probably not be delivered until tomorrow.
It is the first car to be delivered the next day. As it was a short time to take a holiday, Markus (modellbaubert) informed them that this was not possible and we were given the
alternative - in 2 hours !!
It was pretty sudden ... and we immediately informed a few friends who wanted to witness the joyous event.
After only 1 1/2 hours it was time - the really huge delivery truck was on the main road and we were already waiting for it there. He couldn't turn into our street because the truck was much too
big. Modellbaubert quickly climbed into the driver's cabin to find a solution.
So one had to rethink and after a turning maneuver he drove into another street, which was not very close to Modellbauberts, but much traffic-calmer than the main street.
There the DeLorean was warmly greeted by modellbaubert, shinzo, shinzo's father, noeck, Louis and the just arriving sanifox and Isa! :)
After the formalities, he was unloaded and we all checked it out. <3
Unfortunately, we noticed that the three Tupper boxes that Lee had put in the trunk were not there ..; (
Then the car had to come to modellbaubert somehow. After the long journey, of course, we didn't want to try to start the engine. All liquids could have been drained for the oversea-transport. We
were very surprised that the battery was still working and we were able to activate the hazard lights.
shinzo sat down on the steering wheel (modellbaubert first touched it xD). The others pushed hard and she steered the car home.
On the way our friend Andi was called, and we rolled past his house to see if he could help with pushing.
With such a message, he was immediately happy to be there! ;)
Once at home, the neighbors marveled at the dream made of stainless steel.
In the course of the evening he received a visit from Bertrand, Stefan K. with attachment, Chris & Kristina and shinzo's sister. :)
Wir sind sehr bestürzt darüber, dass die drei Tupperdosen nicht auffindbar sind.
Wir haben inzwischen Lee, den Vorbesitzer, kontaktiert und er hat uns nochmal aufgelistet, was er in den Tupperdosen untergebracht hat:
+ das ORIGINAL Radio vom DeLorean (ist sehr rar und wird zur Zeit auf eBay für um die 600 Dollar gehandelt!!)
+ sein Buch, in welchem er seit 2007 aufgelistet hat, was er alles an dem DeLorean repariert, erneuert und restauriert hat.. quasi die Lebensgeschichte des DeLoreans der letzten 10 Jahre.. das wäre sehr wichtig für uns
+ mehrere Ersatzteile
+ weitere Kleinteile
Insgesamt mit einem Wert von mehreren hundert Dollar.
Vor allem um das Radio und das Buch von ihm tut es uns wahnsinnig leid.
modellbaubert hat heute nochmal mit der Speditionsfirma telefoniert, die zuerst dreisterweise leugnete, dass diese Dinge existiert haben!!!! ;____;
Aufgrund der offiziellen Verschiffungs-Auflistung am Hafen von L.A. hatten sie es dann aber schwarz auf weiß, dass diese Dinge vorhanden waren!
Wir hoffen SEHR, dass sie irgendwie wieder auftauchen.. das wäre wirklich zu traurig wenn nicht.. ;___;

Zudem wurden mehrere Verkleidungen im Innenraum lieblos heraus gerissen. Vielleicht vom Zoll, der gesucht hat, ob etwas geschmuggelt wird..?!
Wenigstens sind die original Nummernschilder noch vorhanden.
Aber wir hoffen so sehr, dass die Tupperdosen wieder auftauchen.
Wenigstens das Buch von ihm - damit kann doch wirklich niemand außer uns etwas anfangen..?! :/
We are very dismayed that the three Tupper cans cannot be found.
We have now contacted Lee, the previous owner, and he has listed again what he put in the Tupper boxes:
+ the ORIGINAL radio from DeLorean (is very rare and is currently on eBay for around $ 600 !!)
+ his book, in which he has listed since 2007 what he has repaired, renewed and restored on the DeLorean .. quasi the life story of the DeLorean of the last 10 years .. that would be very important for us
+ several spare parts
+ other small parts
A total of several hundred dollars worth.
We are especially are sorry about the radio and his book.
modellbaubert called the shipping company again today, who at first daringly denied that these things existed!!!! ;____;
Because of the official shipping list at the port of L.A., they had it in black on white that these things were there!
We hope VERY that they will reappear somehow.. that would be too sad if not.. ;___;

In addition, several panels in the interior were carelessly torn out. Maybe from customs, who was looking for something to be smuggled..?!
At least the original number plates are still there.
But we hope so much that the Tupper cans will reappear.
At least his book - nobody really can do anything about it except us..?! :/
Am 8. Juni haben wir den DeLorean gewaschen und gründlich ausgesaugt. Dabei haben wir ein Mäusenest gefunden. Jede Spezies liebt den DeLorean und möchte sich gerne darin aufhalten. :)
Leider haben wir aber am 10. Juni den kleinen niedlichen Bewohner unter dem Beifahrersitz gefunden.. R.I.P. kleine DeLorean Maus.. ;___;
On June 8th we washed the DeLorean and vacuumed it thoroughly. We found a mouse nest. Every animals love the DeLorean and would like to live in it. :)
Unfortunately, on June 10th we found the cute little resident under the passenger seat .. R.I.P. little DeLorean mouse.. ; ___;
Am 9. Juni waren PVenkman und modellbauberts Arbeitskollege Christian zu Besuch und haben uns fleißig geholfen. Dabei wurden die Bremsflüssigkeit, das Motoröl und Benzin erneuert.
Außerdem der erste Motorstart!! :D <3
On June 9th PVenkman and modellbauberts colleague Christian visited and helped us diligently. The brake fluid, engine oil and gas were changed.
Also the first engine start !! : D <3
Am 14. Juni haben wir die freudige Nachricht der Transportfirma erhalten, dass die Tupperdosen wieder aufgetaucht sind!! :D
Sie werden ihnen nun übergeben und anschließend zu uns gesendet. Hoffentlich ist nichts abhanden gekommen.
Am 16. Juni haben wir die Ventile eingestellt. Thomas und sein Sohn Simon waren zu Besuch.
Am 18. Juni hat modellbaubert alles zurück gebaut und shinzo hat angefangen, die Kontakte des Sicherungskastens auf die neuen drei Sicherungskästen umzulöten. Zu Besuch waren Christian, der uns Tische und Bänke für die Willkommens Grillfeier gebracht hat, shinzos Bruder mit Frau und Sohn. Sowie Ralf, der praktischerweise auf dem nach Hause Weg ein Abstecher zu uns machen konnte. :)
Am Montag, den 19. Juni ist shinzo mit ihrer Arbeit, alle 17 Sicherungen in die drei neuen Kästen zu übertragen fertig geworden. Wir fragen uns jedoch, was mit der 18. Sicherung passiert ist, die
auf dem Schaltplan zwar eingezeichnet, aber im alten Sicherungskasten nicht vorhanden ist..?!
modellbaubert hat sowohl im Motorraum als auch im Cockpit wieder alles an seinen Platz geschraubt.
On June 14th we received the happy news from the transport company that the Tupper cans had reappeared!! :D
They will now be handed over to you and then sent to us. Hopefully nothing has been lost.
On June 16, we adjusted the valves. Thomas and his son Simon were visiting.
On June 18, modellbaubert dismantled everything and shinzo started to re-solder the contacts of the fuse box to the new three fuse boxes. Visiting were Christian, who brought us tables and
benches for the welcome barbecue, shinzo's brother with wife and son. As well as Ralf, who could conveniently make a detour to us on the way home. :)
On Monday, June 19, shinzo finished its work of transferring all 17 fuses into the three new boxes. However, we wonder what happened to the 18th fuse, which is drawn on the circuit diagram but is
not present in the old fuse box..?!
modellbaubert has put everything back into place in the engine compartment and in the cockpit.

Zur DeLorean Grillfeier hatten wir das Wohnzimmer komplett umdekoriert und einige Fotos von Zurück in die Zukunft Erlebnissen an die Wände gehängt sowie Sammelstücke ausgestellt.
Es wurde gegrillt und gab ein Zurück in die Zukunft Quiz. Jeder durfte sich mal in den DeLorean setzen und sich alles ganz genau anschauen. :)
Zur Feier des Tages hatte ich den Banner vom Enchantment under the Sea Abschlussbald via Beamer abgemalt und aufgehängt. Wild Gun Man war über die Wii spielbar und es gab Bastelbögen für Papier-DeLoreans. ^^
Es hat uns sehr gefreut, dass so viele Freunde mit uns gefeiert haben. <3

For the DeLorean barbecue, we had completely redecorated the living room and hung some photos of Back to the Future experiences on the walls and exhibited collectibles.
Shinzo made a Back to the Future quiz. Everyone was allowed to sit in the DeLorean and take a close look at everything. :)
To celebrate the day, I had painted and hung up the banner of the Enchantment under the Sea. Wild Gun Man was playable on
the Wii and there were craft sheets for paper DeLoreans. ^^
We were very happy that so many friends celebrated with us. <3

Wir können es kaum glauben.. heute sind die Tupperdosen angekommen!!!
Und eine Erklärung gab es sogar auch:
Die Exportfirma hatte sie nach der Überprüfung (Fotos für den Zoll) versehentlich in das falsche Auto zurück geräumt.. x.x
So sind sie in München gelandet.
Der, bei dem sie fälschlicherweise im Auto lagen, hat sich dann zum Glück gemeldet.
Jedoch war er dann weg und konnte sie nicht so schnell schicken.
ABER es scheint wirklich alles noch da zu sein und wir sind sehr froh darüber!! ^^

We can hardly believe it .. Today the Tupper boxes have arrived! :D
And there was even an explanation:
The export company had accidentally put them back in the wrong car after the check (photos for customs).. x.x
That's how they ended up in Munich.
Luckily, the guy who received them told the shipping company that these were not his boxes.
However, he was not at home and could not send them so quickly.
BUT everything seems to be still there and we are very happy about it!! ^^
Am 20. Juli sind wir mit roten Nummernschildern zur Käferstation gefahren und hatten gehofft, dass der DeLorean am nächsten Tag dort bei der Überprüfung TÜV bekommen wird.
Leider waren fast alle Gummidichtungen porös, weshalb sie noch ausgetauscht werden mussten.
Aber am 23. August 2017 hat er dann beim zweiten Anlauf TÜV bekommen!
Jetzt werden die TÜV-Papiere zum Kraftfahrbundesamt geschickt.
Anschließend bekommen wir alle Unterlagen, um damit zur Versicherung zu gehen. Hier muss auch noch ein Gutachten erstellt werden.
Und danach können wir zur Zulassungsstelle.. ^___^
Dauert noch ein kleines bisschen - aber jetzt hält uns vermutlich nichts mehr auf!
On July 20, we drove to the Käferstation
with red license plates and hoped that the DeLorean would get TÜV there the next day during the inspection.
Unfortunately, almost all rubber seals were porous, which is why they still had to be replaced.
But on August 23, 2017, he got TÜV the second time!
Now the TÜV papers are sent to the Federal Motor Transport Authority.
Then we get all the documents to go to the insurance company. A valuation also has to be made.
And then we can go to the registration office.. ^___^
Takes a little bit longer - but probably nothing will stop us now!
Am 2. Oktober 2017 war es dann endlich soweit und wir konnten den DeLorean anmelden. Nun hat er Nummernschilder und darf fahren!
